Faq Lipo Laser
What is a Laser Lipo?
Laser Lipo is a low level laser energy treatment emitted to stimulate the fat cell membranes, changing their permeability. The cells lose their round and intracellular fat is released. Then the fatty triglycerides flow out of the disrupted cell membranes and into the interstitial space, where they gradually pass through the body’s natural metabolic functions with no harmful physiological effects, to be used as an energy source for the body.
The process does not alter neighboring structures such as skin, blood vessels and peripheral nerves. It is not merely the liquefaction of fat but instead it is the instant breakdown of the fat cells, otherwise known as lipolysis.
What happens during a typical Laser Lipo session?
During a routine Laser Lipo treatment, up to four treatment pads containing the laser diodes are placed over the treatment area and secured in direct contact with the skin using elastic straps. Two additional laser probes are positioned onto the region of the lymphatic nodes closest to the treatment zone. Once all pads are in place, clients willget comfortable and lay back and for approximately 25 minutes
What areas can be treated?
With Laser Lipo, problem areas such as the thighs, abdomen, upper arms, or chin can be specifically targeted for fat removal. By positioning the laser pads on these areas, fat can selectively be broken down and eliminated.
Who is a good candidate for Laser Lipo?
Most men and women are good candidates for Laser Lipo. There are a few medical conditions that would prevent us from performing treatment, however a full health and medical questionnaire will be completed to ensure suitability.
How many sessions will I need?
To see maximum results, a course of 8 – 12 treatments is recommended, per body area. These sessions should be conducted twice a week at regular intervals.
What type of results can be expected?
Individual results will vary depending on size, however the results of the treatment will be greatly improved by your own personal commitment. Most people begin to see immediate inch loss in as little as one session, although within the course of treatments, clients can experience anywhere from a 10 – 18 inch loss.
Is it painful? Are there any side effects?
You may experience a slight warming sensation and/or slight redness during your session. This normally resolves itself within a few hours. You may also experience looser bowels within a day or two post treatment. This is a positive sign of the treatment working to eliminate excess waste.
